Prince of Clovers releases September 22nd, 2026

For Prince of Clover’s book cover, Veto and I did about a month of brainstorming and planning. Veto was tasked with creating a very ambitious cover that reflects the book’s changing tone. Considering all of the elements that we spoke about including, this could have very easily turned out to be a messy blob. But Veto accepted the challenge, and exceeded my expectations with his incredible artistic vision and instinct for composition.
I sent him three chapters. One for each of the three acts of the book so that he could get a sense of the evolution of the genre. After reading them and discussing with me some more, he began to work. Notice how Veto labeled all of the elements on the first sketch. Instead of throwing them all together, he wisely used a wind with clover patterns to guide us through each of them. We wanted the front and back cover to contrast—almost as if one were to look at them separately, they would think they’re each from different books. This was done to communicate to the reader that the book changes.
The front cover is a representation of the action-oriented identity of the story. Darker colors were utilized to represent the grimmer emotional landscape with political intrigue, fight for survival, and tragedies. The back cover showcases the more mystical, cosmic, and magical side of Prince of Clovers. Meant to act as both, a refresher of the psychologically oppressing portion, and a contrasting complement of that same idea.
Tying both covers together is Mother Nature. The wind, which whispers to those willing to listen, and a Willow Tree, which can catapult an open mind through an odyssey across space and time. Thanks again to Veto for his incredible work, his collaborative spirit and ability to take the mess in my brain to paint something beautiful and coherent from it.

An Introduction to Echoes of Time
Ever since I was an eleven-year-old boy, I have written screenplays, a creative path that quenched my thirst for crafting horror stories. But a second dream, shunned to the back of my mind, burned just as passionately all these years. An idea too complex to compress into the limitations of cinematic language.
To write fantasy. A world of my own: rules, locations, people, history, magic, magical races, politics, lore, even weather and biomes. A playground of my creation to explore however I pleased.
On September 28, 2021, I began writing a project that would become Prince of Clovers—the first book in The Echoes of Time series. Four years later, I have something I’ve never been more proud of. Something born from the day I wrote “Chapter 1” on a blank Scrivener document.
Prince of Clovers begins as a story with the familiar fantasy tropes—a complex world tainted by its own history, a group of characters longing for something greater than themselves, a political figure working to undermine their successes—but halfway through, it shatters the formula and becomes something unique. It blends political intrigue, high fantasy, dark fantasy, surrealist horror and adventure, submerging them in a celestial pool where whimsy and myth swim side by side.
But no matter how intricately the plot evolves, or how many twists and turns shift the narrative, at its core, Prince of Clovers is a profound exploration of character. Most of the four years that it’s taken me to shape the book, have been solely focused on strengthening my characters. Their interpersonal connections, their philosophy, their intricately crafted arcs and their humanity.
Yes, the book blends many different genres. But more importantly, at least to me, is its exploration of identity, duality, the weight of time and memory, grief and healing, destiny vs choice, isolation vs communion, neurodivergence and emotional intimacy that makes me giddy to share this work with you.
The Echoes of Time is a name with dual meaning. First, it is a reflection of how all the points throughout Rependum’s history set the stage and central conflict of the story. Secondly, it’s a thesis for the characters and their evolution that paints a backdrop to their decisions and ever-changing views. All six of them embark on a strenuous physical voyage across inter-dimensional worlds, and a cathartic emotional journey beyond the comfortable limits of their psyche.
Prince of Clovers is also a dual title, one that I can’t wait for you to discover on your own. I’m so excited for you to meet Axel and Ivory Redwood, Malakki Aircrown, Viola Waterstorm, Leon Stonemark, and Fey Whisker.
